TidyWeb checks the available titles, text, authors and descriptions against the rules you write in Semantic. For example, “Hide reaction videos” filters by what an item is about, so it doesn't need to contain an exact keyword. TidyWeb doesn't watch videos, listen to audio or inspect the images themselves.

Yes. You can hide Shorts on YouTube, AI summaries in Google, Notes on Substack, and other distracting sections on supported websites. Open Classic for your chosen website and choose the sections you want to hide. The rest of the website stays available.

Yes. Add a word or phrase in Keyword, and TidyWeb hides matching items. You can also enter a regular expression or describe a text pattern in your own words. For example, “Don't show me any videos containing both ‘movie’ and ‘review’ in the title.” TidyWeb automatically turns your instruction into a filter.

Yes. You can hide YouTube channels, websites in Google results, Reddit communities and supported accounts on other sites. Where available, use the item's three-dot menu or TidyWeb's broom icon. The block appears in that website's Keyword filters, where you can switch it off or remove it.

Yes. You can include exceptions when you describe what you want to hide. Say you want to keep comments on tutorials but hide them elsewhere. Write “Hide comments except on tutorials” in Semantic. Just leave the separate Classic Comments switch off, since that hides the section regardless of your exception. Other filters can still hide content too.

Yes. You can include a time in your rule, like “I don't want to see anything related to work after 8pm.” TidyWeb considers the time when it checks content. A page that's already open won't automatically change when that time arrives.

No worries. You can change your rule, turn off a keyword filter or switch off a Classic control. If your semantic rules hide too much, you can also raise the Hide threshold in Settings to require a closer match. To see the whole website again, turn off its filtering switch. Your filters stay saved for later.

Yes. In Settings, open Exempt sites and add the address of the part you want to leave alone. For example, you can leave your YouTube subscriptions page unfiltered while keeping filters on other YouTube pages. TidyWeb skips filtering on that address and the pages underneath it.

Classic controls and Keyword matching run on your device. Semantic filtering and converting a Keyword instruction use online services. TidyWeb leaves private messages and account pages out of content checks, and masks recognizable details such as email addresses locally before sending filtering requests. Setting up TidyWeb is quick and easy. Install the Chrome extension and log in with Google, Apple or email. Choose Add Site, pick a website and add your first filter. You can describe what you'd like to hide, hide a whole section, or start with a keyword.
